Dr. Bernadette Leoncio's background includes seven years as the Chair of the Community Dentistry Division and time spent as Secretary of the Association of Community Dentistry of the Philippines. These roles refined her organizational and interpersonal skills, enabling her to coordinate effective free dental health programs in underserved communities.
After obtaining her California dental license, she became a Medi-Cal dental provider, dedicating herself to creating meaningful change and improving access to dental care for her patients. With 96% of her practice comprising Medi-Cal patients, Dr. Leoncio is deeply committed to enhancing community health and addressing the social determinants of care.
She is a dedicated dental professional with over two years of experience in community clinics, where she has witnessed firsthand the transformative power of kindness, resilience, and compassion in healthcare. She understands that for many, particularly in underserved areas of Los Angeles, accessing oral health care can be a significant challenge due to financial and logistical barriers.
